Diagnosis

Scape strongly flattened and sinuate; pedicel pale; ventral surface of female flagellomeres with numerous short setae; midlobe of mesoscutum with 3-4 pairs of setae, scutellum with two pairs of setae.

Distribution

Costa Rica, Mexico.

Biology

From leafgalls on Persea gratissima (Lauraceae); leafgalls on Inga vera (bullet, fuzzy leaf, pustule and spindle galls - most specimens from bullet galls) and on Inga oerstediana (maize gall) (Mimosaceae) (galls caused by Diptera: Cecidomyiidae).
